Deciding which poker Site to pick is no easy task. Somewhere between welcome bonuses, free bets and deposit bonuses, new customers can easily feel a bit lost. But fear not! Our mission is to make the task easier for you, the player, by searching the online casino empire. We select various welcome offers we believe are the best for you.
Now, what do we think by that? Simply put, our team is on the constant lookout for good welcome offers from our cooperators. We make sure that these offers are clearly visible in tables throughout our site. On this particular page, you will find a selection of what we consider to be the best Poker Sites at this moment and by our opinion. Bear in mind that this is a subjective list, one that we hope will make it easier for you to consider several offers, and make an educated decision. Last, but not the least, only you can decide what suits best your taste!
Sky Poker
As is the way with Sky gambling sites, they get all of the basics right, with amazing apps and user friendly websites, but the bonuses (and odds if they apply) are always very poor.
With Sky Poker, you get all of your standard cash, sit & go, and tournament structures, along with three types of playable poker: Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo.
The site is more for the recreational user rather than those trying to clean up, or just get started – but they do offer a beginner’s tips page to help get started.
Their decent welcome bonus of a free £10 upon sign-up, along with 100% deposit bonus – up to $500 – gets the users in, then the incredible app is what gets them to stay. Whilst the site doesn’t actually offer a whole lot in terms of poker variations, it does provide a great playing experience when at a table.
Full Tilt
Prior to Black Friday, 2011, Full Tilt was one of the big dogs of online poker, but after its demise with the loss of U.S. players, it had to be bought-out by rivals PokerStars. Fortunately, they re-launched the site in 2012, and it’s still considered to be one of the best places for online poker players to go.
Full Tilt offers a nice free £10 sign up bonus, and then a 100% deposit bonus, up to $600, which is pretty big even for poker site bonuses. With this money, you can enjoy a huge variety of interesting, popular and big money game modes throughout the sit & go, cash and tournament variations.
You also have the option to play Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo poker. The website is still known for being one of the best – if not the best – in online poker; it’s user friendly, basic and fun to use.
Then there’s the app, which is also rated very highly however, user reviews do point to some flaws that need patching in the latest version of the app. It used to tell you what win line you had in your hand, but now it does not – which is something that many users want to return.
William Hill Poker
One of Europe’s most popular online poker sites, that zaps the lion’s share of poker traffic at peak times, is muscling its way in amongst the big name sites, and is getting serious boosting from its incredible welcome bonuses.
William Hill Poker offers a very generous $50 free upon sign-up, and then an added gigantic 200% deposit bonus, of up to $1,200! This is simply huge, and has allowed William Hill to pull in even more players for the increasingly popular game of online poker.
Along with the sit & go, cash and tournament style games, William Hill Poker also offers loads regular bonuses and promotions with an added form of poker that has not yet been seen on this list. With Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi/Lo and Omaha High, Will Hill also has the Speed Poker game mode that users have found to be very enjoyable.
The website and app are great, all very easy to use and fun to play, but what really brings it home is the help for beginners, with William Hill’s Poker Coach. The Poker Coach does exactly what it says on the tin, and really aids new players in getting started and establishing themselves in the game.
PokerStars
PokerStars is the goliath of online poker, — the largest poker site in the world — and offers a huge range of low to high to super-high limit games. Their rankings system helps everyone to have their own prestige level on the site, with so many famous poker stars being PokerStars pros – Daniel Negreanu, Brit Liv Boeree and Chris Moneymaker.
PokerStars is well known for its seemingly endless stream of poker playing options, you’ve pretty much got every base covered from low money games to complex tournaments and big money competitions. They also offer a huge array of unique poker types to play from with: Teax Hold’em Poker, RAZZ, Horse, Omaha Hi/Lo and 7 Card stud.
The app and website are extremely good, easy to use, enjoyable to play on, and addictive. The site also offers lots of tips and advice, along with a strategy page for people looking to improve, or change up their game. Their welcome bonus is also quite good, despite them being such a mega poker site. You get $33 free and a deposit bonus of 100%, up to $600.
888 Poker
Look at any online poker rankings, any table of customer reviews, and you will see a trend of 888 Poker taking the first place prize. The site does everything right and everything well, and is ever increasing in popularity amongst online poker players.
To begin with, you get a free $88 sign up bonus, and then a big 100% deposit bonus of up to $888 – which automatically puts them amongst the big sites. Once you’re in, on either the app or the website, you become immersed in the cool and slick style.
888 Poker hosts amazing graphics and an awesome 3D gadget. Whilst some may consider this to be mere cosmetics, it really helps to keep you entertained in the game; some sites just allow you to see the cards on the table and in your hand, and that can get very boring, very quickly.
For beginners, 888 Poker offers streams of tips, hints, advice and strategies, along with a fantastic search function to help beginners, and the more experienced, to find the games they want. An added help for starters is the giant amount of free roll games offered on a very regular basis – alongside all of the other big money tournaments, sit & go, and cash games.
Whilst the best online poker site will come down to personal preference, the top three on this ranking are all extremely good sites, and there wasn’t much to separate them. But ultimately, 888 Poker gets our vote as the best online poker site for Canada.
